The Sandpiper
You may have noticed our little bird – he’s a sandpiper.
He’s a symbol of freedom and the natural environment. The freedom to design with glass to create the extraordinary. It also reminds us of the important role glass has to play in creating a more energy efficient built environment, one that is kinder on the environment. And, of course, every piece of glass that has ever existed has originally been sand. So he’s there to remind us, every day, of our reliance on the natural environment that surrounds us.
Sandpipers fly. They are the essence of freedom – they show us that used imaginatively, developed innovatively – glass means freedom for its users. Imagine a world without glass and you imagine a world that would be infinitely duller, more restricted, less pleasant, less liveable. We’d like to think that the sandpiper will inspire you to use glass to its full potential, a remarkable and unique product that allows the passage of natural light and controls the movement of heat in and out of your home.
